HOW TO CARE FOR YOUR BROWBAND
It is advised to choose your normal size when purchasing the quick change snap clip browbands, as this does not impact the fitting for your horse or pony. However, it is important to ensure a proper fit to avoid any discomfort for your horse.
Handmade variations may result in a few millimetres of difference in size.
BROWBAND CARE & SIZE GUIDE
| SIZE - INCHES | TRADITIONAL | QUICK CHANGE |
|---|---|---|
| Small Pony | 13" | 13.5" |
| Pony | 14" | 14.5" |
| Cob | 15" | 15.5" |
| Full | 16" | 16.5" |
| Extra Full | 17" | 17.5" |
| XXF (Draft) | 18" | 18.5" |
We all love our horses to look super smart. Browbands are a showpiece; just like a piece of jewellery, we need to know how to take care of them for them to last. When it comes to taking care of your horse's browband, it is essential to ensure that the metal claws holding the crystals are securely fastened.
We recommended inspecting the browband regularly. The metal claws play a crucial role in keeping the crystals intact and preventing them from falling out. In the event that you notice any loosened metal claws, simply press them back down to secure the crystals and maintain the longevity of your browband.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY BROWBAND?
| 1 | To clean your browband, first check to make sure all the claws are firmly covering the crystals. |
|---|---|
| 2 | Get a soft-bristled toothbrush & a bowl of warm water. Add a couple of drops of fairy liquid & mix. |
| 3 | Dip the toothbrush into the warm water and gently rub the toothbrush to remove the excess water. |
| 4 | On a flat surface. Start to gently clean the crystals in an up-down position with the toothbrush. |
| 5 | After cleaning the crystals, make sure all the claws are covering them. |
| 6 | To get them shining, get a dry, smooth cloth and pat them dry. |
| 7 | Try not to let your horse rub its head when wearing a browband, as this may cause damage. |
It is not recommended using detergents on any leather product.

Browband Size & Care Guide
When purchasing our Quick-Change snap-clip browbands, we recommend choosing your horse’s normal size as the clip system does not affect the sizing or fit. To ensure your horse's total comfort, always check for a proper fit to avoid any pressure points.
Fit Tip: You should be able to fit two fingers flat between the browband and your horse’s forehead. This ensures the headpiece isn't being pulled forward onto the sensitive area behind the ears.
How to Measure: Lay an existing browband flat on a table and measure from the very end of one loop to the end of the other in a straight line.

Please note: As each piece is meticulously handcrafted, slight variations of a few millimetres may occur.

Caring for Your Sparkle
Your browband should be treated with the same care as a fine piece of jewellery. To maintain the security of the stones, we recommend inspecting the metal claws before and after every use.

It is natural for these claws to move slightly with daily wear. If you notice a loosened claw, simply press it back down firmly to secure the crystal. This simple routine check ensures the longevity of your browband and keeps every stone safely in place.
HOW DO I CLEAN MY BROWBAND?
| Inspect | Before cleaning, ensure all metal claws are firmly securing the crystals to avoid snagging or loosening while you work. |
|---|---|
| Prepare | Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and a bowl of warm water. Add a few drops of mild soap and mix gently to create a cleaning solution. |
| Dampen | Dip the toothbrush into the warm water and gently shake off any excess. The brush should be damp, not soaking, to protect the leather from becoming overly wet. |
Please note: We do not recommend using harsh detergents on any leather surface, as this can damage the natural finish.
